In thinking what else might be appropriate, thought about the thistle as national emblem of Scotland, perhaps also something to write a blog article or short website section on.]

The Thistle: National Emblem of Scotland

[Raw text from Scottish Ceremonies site. To be formatted/edited.]

Hello and welcome to Scottish Ceremonies.

Monica is a professional, independent celebrant based in the Edinburgh area but available for ceremonies all over Scotland.

In 25 years working in the public and voluntary sectors, Monica has taken great joy and satisfaction from working with individuals and groups in community settings. I’ve learnt a lot from the people I’ve worked with and I bring that experience and knowledge to Scottish Ceremonies.

I offer a range of ceremonies to mark the important milestones in your life. My ceremonies celebrate life and joy and fun; the happiness and joy of welcoming a child into this world; capturing the significance of the  coming together of two people through marriage; and acknowledging the pain and grief of saying goodbye.

Together we can celebrate a life well lived.
